"Syntax is the study of the principles and processes by wich sentences are condstructed inparyicular languages.Sybtax investigation of a given language has as its goal the construction of grammer that can be viewed as a device of some sort for producibg the sentences of the language under analysis."(Noam Chomsky , 2002:11)

Oke There is understanding syntax in general in my opinion :
.
-Syntax is derived from a Greek word meaning 'arrangement'.
-,Syntax in general terms is the rule in forming a sentence,consisting of subject , verb , and object.
-And Syntax is a linguistik study that determines how word or phrases put together to a sentences.
-So,Syntax is a structure in making sentences.

.Essentially Syntax is how the word truns big then into a phrase,clause,and finally into a sentence.

.There are two that are very important in analyzing syntax :
<1. Phrases >
Phrases is a group of words that have a function in a sentence.
The phrase is divided into several froms (Noun phrase,adjective phrase,verb phrase,and prepositional phrase)

<2. Clause>
Clause is a group of words consisting of subject and verb.
The Clause is divided into several froms
(Indenpendent clause and Dependent clause).
